Klausing Group is Hiring a Landscape Crew Member Near Lexington, KY
We are currently hiring for this position in the Louisville Metro/Jefferson County Area. As a crew member, you will make the properties we serve beautiful and functional in order to satisfy our clients. Your work, and the work of your team will be focused on the safe, quality oriented, efficient delivery of landscape services. While on our clients’ properties, you represent both our brand and theirs.
Crew members must be able to perform basic landscape operations, operate vehicles and equipment and work with a team. This position takes direction from crew leaders and/or production managers.
Act as a team member to ensure that all policies and procedures are adhered to. Strictly follow all safety policies.
Perform work to our quality standards and achieve job budgets
Operate and maintain equipment within company guidelines
Communicate any client issues, problems, questions or opportunities to account managers in a timely manor
Willingness to learn our production systems, including:
o Route management- Completing work in allotted time
o Job site management- Producing all job tasks in budgeted hours
Willingness to learn horticulture expertise, including:
o Identification of local landscape plants
o Identification of insect and disease pest
o Understanding of turf and ornamental weed control methods
o Understanding of ornamental fertilization
Responsible use of landscape tools, truck and trailer and all motorized equipment
No experience required
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and constant standing and walking
Creative problem solver with capacity to innovate
Team orientation. Prepared to lead by example, roll up the sleeves and do what it takes to get the job done
Valid driver’s license, DOT medical examiners certificate, insurable a plus
Pesticide applicator license (category A3) a plus
Basic first aid and blood borne pathogens certification a plus
